“Tea with Lois”

TRAILER

 “The Peerless, Maker of Money-Makers”

Louis B. Mayer

“Tea With Lois”  a one act/one woman play about renowned film director Lois Weber recently finished a notable run at the Secret Rose Theatre in North Hollywood.  Lois was a highly successful multi-faceted film director whose socially conscious films are as relevant today as when they were first made a century ago.   A few of her themes;  a working wage, birth control, the plight of returning veterans and drug addiction still scream for solutions.  And the burning question, why haven’t these issues been resolved?

Review –

“The excellent Tea With Lois offers an inspiring and educational message about silent film industry legend and trailblazer Weber.” – Tolucan Times

Yelp Review:

image of a yelp review with text:ea With Lois Great informative one woman, one act show as Lois Weber talks to Studio Club attendees in 1917 Hollywood. Worth the time and so is Lois Weber, the first American woman director writer and producer, who tackled many of the same issues woman are marching for. If you want to see and hear what Ms. Weber had to deal with, this is where you learn that everything runs in cycles and the issues are still there. Friday And Saturdays at 8:00pm; Sunday at 2:00pm and 7:30pm Definitely a must see.
